If you are the type of student who needs a schedule, a real human instructor, and the ability to ask questions in real-time, Kaplan is likely your best bet.

Their standout feature is the LSAT Channel, which functions like a TV guide for LSAT prep-offering live, interactive episodes on specific topics almost every day.

Kaplan’s classroom heritage also looks newly relevant in 2026. With the LSAT returning to in-person testing at Prometric centers from the August 2026 administration onward, the kind of structured, scheduled, proctored-style preparation Kaplan has always done well is more useful than it was during the at-home testing years.

This is Kaplan’s “killer app.” While most courses give you a set of static videos, Kaplan provides access to a schedule of live, interactive workshops. You can filter these by difficulty and topic. Struggling with Logical Reasoning Flaws? Tune into a “Flaw Questions Advanced” episode. It adds a level of dynamism that static courses lack.

The QBank

Kaplan’s QBank is massive, utilizing the full library of released LSAT questions (over 8,000). The interface allows you to build custom quizzes based on difficulty, question type, and timing.

Student Experience

Kaplan’s platform is polished and professional. The dashboard is intuitive, guiding you through a “Study Plan” that adapts to your test date. The video lessons are high production value, often featuring instructors in a studio setting rather than just a voiceover on a slide.

Kaplan and the 2026 LSAT

The LSAT a Kaplan student sits in late 2026 differs from the test of a few years ago in three ways, and Kaplan is positioned well for all of them.

• No Logic Games. Logic Games (Analytical Reasoning) were removed in August 2024. The test is now roughly two-thirds Logical Reasoning and one-third Reading Comprehension, and Kaplan’s curriculum and LSAT Channel workshops have shifted accordingly.
• In-person testing returns (August 2026). Beginning with the August 2026 administration, nearly everyone must take the multiple-choice LSAT in person at a Prometric center; June 2026 was the last at-home remote sitting for most candidates. Kaplan’s in-person class options and full-length proctored-style practice are a genuine fit for rebuilding test-center stamina.
• New interface + Argumentative Writing. The 2026-2027 cycle uses a new on-screen interface (same content, new tools), and since July 2024 the writing section is the more rigorous Argumentative Writing task-unscored but required before LSAC will release your score. Kaplan’s materials cover both, and all official PrepTests are now available in the new LawHub interface.

Verdict: Is Kaplan Worth It?

Kaplan is a premium product with a premium price tag. If you are looking for the cheapest way to prep, this isn’t it (check out 7Sage). However, if you want the security of a big brand, the structure of live classes, and the depth of the LSAT Channel, Kaplan is an excellent investment in your legal career.
